Chief Executive Officer of Capitoline, Mr. Matt Flowerday, has said that Data Centres (DC) would shape the way IT business is conducted in the country because they are the engine rooms that run today's global digital economy.
According to a technology expert, the energy utilisation in most DC remained grossly inefficient, leading to astronomical rise in temperature and eventually grounding the Data Centre.
In an audit research of over 50 data centres carried out by Capitoline within the past two years, the company said it discovered that running Data Centre with a wider temperature/humidity ranges takes less air conditioning energy and helps to minimise energy consumption.
According to Flowerday, 84 major data centre failures that occurred within the space of 36 months worldwide had their root cause traced to energy and power, design, specifications, processes and operating procedures.
